Academic Entry Requirements
The ATHE Level 5 Extended Diploma in Computing and Artificial Intelligence is suitable for learners who have prior academic knowledge or relevant experience in computing, IT, or related disciplines.
Applicants should meet one or more of the following criteria:
- ATHE Level 4 Diploma in Computing or a related qualification
- UK Level 3 qualification (A-levels, diplomas, or equivalent) with relevant subject background
- International qualifications equivalent to UK Level 3 or Level 4
- Mature learners (aged 19+) with relevant work or industry experience in IT, computing, or technology
Each application is assessed individually to ensure learners are able to successfully complete the programme.
English Language Requirements
As the programme is delivered in English, learners must demonstrate sufficient English language ability to study at Level 5.
This may be evidenced by:
- Previous education completed in English
- IELTS or equivalent English language qualification (recommended for international students)
- Internal English assessment conducted by B2B Educators UK, where applicable
Additional academic support may be available for learners who require English language development.
Technical & Study Requirements
To successfully complete the course, learners should have:
- A basic understanding of computing or IT concepts
- Willingness to learn advanced topics including programming, data analysis, and artificial intelligence
- Access to a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection
- Ability to engage in independent study, research, and assignments
Advanced programming knowledge is not required at entry stage.
