Award in Skills for Professions in Business, Administration & Finance

• Qualification Options: The qualifications are available as an Award, Certificate, and Extended Certificate, offering learners flexibility in choosing the size of the qualification that best suits their needs.
• Credit Value: The Level 2 Award has a credit value of 6, with a total qualification time (TQT) of 60 hours and guided learning hours (GLH) of 44.
• Assessment Requirements: Assessment is internally set and externally moderated, with no additional external assessments required.

The qualifications are suitable for learners of all ages, with centers responsible for determining the suitability of units for learners under the age of 16.

• The qualifications consist of vocational units in business, administration, finance, and law (Group 1), along with employability and learning skills units (Group 2) and ‘green’ units (Group 3).
• For the Level 2 Award, learners must achieve a minimum of 3 credits from Group 1 vocational units and may choose the remaining 3 credits from optional groups.

Assessment:

• Assessment is conducted through activities internally set by tutors/assessors, with portfolios of assessed evidence internally moderated at the center and externally moderated.
• Each unit has specific assessment criteria, and learners’ portfolios must demonstrate achievement of these criteria for the unit to be deemed achieved. Units are not graded; they are either achieved or not achieved.

Employability

• Successful completion of the qualifications prepares learners to progress to Level 3 qualifications, apprenticeships, higher education, or employment in business, administration, finance, and law-related fields.

Tuition Fees

If you choose the study abroad option with one of King’s partner universities, you will not be charged tuition fees by the host university (although some partners do charge a small administration fee for applying). King’s will continue to invoice for a proportion of King’s tuition fees. For the Year in Industry, King’s will invoice students for a proportion of King’s standard tuition fees. At present these are as follows but may be subject to change: • Home and EU students working for a full academic year will receive an invoice for £1,350 for King’s tuition fees for the year. • Overseas students working for a full academic year will receive an invoice for one third of the King’s tuition fees for the year
