Diploma in Business & Finance

• Credit Requirement: To obtain the Access to HE Diploma, learners must accumulate 60 credits, including 45 credits at Level 3 from graded subject-specific units and 15 credits at Level 2 or Level 3 from study skills units.
• Duration: The diploma typically represents 600 notional Guided Learning Hours (GLH), with courses generally delivered in 450 GLH. Duration may vary depending on delivery methods and individual study plans.
• Resource Requirements: Learners need access to IT facilities with specialized software, learning resources, online platforms (e.g., VLE, Microsoft Teams, Google Classroom), and resources for specialist learner support and reasonable adjustments.

While there are no centrally specified formal entry requirements, learners are generally expected to have literacy, communication skills, and numeracy at Level 2 or above.

• Courses are designed to provide a balanced program of study, typically covering one third of subject-specific credits from Business modules and one third from Finance modules.
• Teaching staff must possess professional competence and subject expertise at Level 4 or above, along with teaching qualifications and knowledge of Access to HE Diploma regulations.
